Annual Day

ICCS strives to nurture students to become holistic citizens exhibiting ethical, professional and social values earnestly. Keeping this in mind, ICCS every year organizes an Annual Day. Chief Guests from Savitribai Phule University are called to give away the prizes. The program is a witness to the remarkable achievements of students. In academics, our students have performed splendidly in University exams & have bagged positions in the University. In the category of sports, our spirited students have brought laurels to college in events like Tennis, Swimming, Shooting and Athletics at Zonal, University, State, National and International Level Competitions. ICCS organizes an Annual Day to commemorate and celebrate the success and exemplary performance of its students in both academics and sports at college and University level.

Commerce Week

Students of Indira College of Commerce & Science seize the chance to take part in the annual Commerce Week event. Every year, the commerce department organizes it.

The main goal of this week is to motivate the students as they learn various ideas in various contexts. A variety of activities, including writing a business plan, quizzes, mock stock, moot court activities, research papers, and case studies, occur during a given week. The pupils gain a vast amount of knowledge from this and their skills and capacity to study in many ways are improved. Students from other institutions, as well as Indira, participate and compete for a variety of attractive prizes.

INFOMANIA (Information Technology) Lecture Series

Indira College of Commerce & Science hosted three days Lecture Series Infomania (Information Technology) from 4/05/2021 to 6/05/2021. The session of the lecture series was conducted by a galaxy of eminent speakers from IIT’s & corporate world. In these three days audience witnessed of full of knowledgeable topics. Speakers engaged audience on the topics like Machine Learning, Artificial Learning, Convolutional Neural Networks, Cryptography, Reinforcement Learning, Data crunching using useful and useless data and many more. Indira College got huge response for these 3 days lecture series with 2000 registration and more than thousand participants. The lecture series was widely appreciated and praised for its choice of latest trending IT topics which was superbly presented by highly esteemed speakers

Parichay

Parichay is an unique event of ICCS which is conducted every year as a welcome event for the new batches of all UG and PG courses. This special event gives all students a chance to connect with Indira family members, increase their morale and make the students feel at home who are away from home. Inspiring and engaging sessions from invited esteemed dignitaries give the students a direction for their career and life. Students also get the opportunity of interaction with the top management. Also, the live screening of Parichay was arranged in classrooms. A day of Parichay is always a day full of knowledge, experiences, life lessons and entertainment.

PI Day

22nd July is celebrated as PI Day to spread the spirit of mathematical thinking and analytical reasoning amongst today’s youth. Indira College of Commerce and Science also upholds this day as special and celebrates it through inter college level competition in Mathematics.

The celebration of PI day was started 14 years ago and every year the celebration is a triumph and a remarkable one with the count crossing almost 1500+ participants, way ahead when it was started years ago with only a handful of 30 students.

Earlier it used to be an inter-class competition and now it has advanced to an intercollege level competition. Every year we have participants from 10+ colleges and schools in and around Pune. From each college, the top three scoring students are awarded with winning trophies respectively and every student gets a participation certificate. The most highlighting part of the event is the feedback from the colleges. They request to continue the competition and also include high school students and junior college level also. We receive feedback from various colleges that due to these competitions students are getting more interest in mathematics. It is indeed a novel way through which ICCS maintains its tradition to spread the popularity of mathematics among the college students.
