Industrial visits provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods, and employment practices.
To bridge the gap between industry and students, an industrial visit was arranged for BBA students to the National Stock Exchanges on April 29, 2022. The students gained knowledge regarding the capital market segment, the future and options segment (live market), the question-and-answer session, and NSE NSMART.
Our 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐁𝐀(𝐈𝐁) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐁𝐀 visited 𝐉𝐍𝐏𝐓 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐔𝐫𝐚𝐧) to learn and experience the Port Activities. Students have visited the JNP Vessel Terminal, APM Terminals have seen the Loading And Unloading of ships. Officials explained the Overall
Working of the Port and have practically experienced in-ship operation done by the Captain.

As part of the Industry Interface Initiatives of Indira College of Commerce and Science, students from FYBFM and SYBFM were privileged to visit the National Stock Exchange (NSE) head office in Mumbai's bustling Bandra-Kurla Complex. The visit commenced with an engaging audio-visual presentation by NSE, delving into the historical evolution of India's capital markets and NSE's significant journey spanning 25 years. An interactive session led by Mr. Hitesh Sethia followed, providing students with comprehensive insights into key financial market concepts through practical examples. This immersive experience empowered students to deepen their understanding of NSE's operations within the dynamic financial landscape, augmenting their knowledge and professional prowess.

Students witnessed the manufacturing plant, its operations & functions. Especially knowing about the handling, processing & manufacturing of 12 different Amul products added to their industrial knowledge. It was a great experience for students as they also learned about application of various costing methods & cost control techniques.

Catering to the needs of the sports of students the college has a basketball court as per the standards. Students are given ample support & time for practice.
The ICCS NSS camp, held from February 12th to 17th, 2024, at Shelkewadi, witnessed the dedicated efforts of NSS students in collecting dry garbage from Gwarwadi, Shelkewadi, and Pimloli villages. Led by passionate individuals, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about waste management and environmental conservation. Participants engaged in meaningful activities to promote cleanliness and sustainability, leaving a positive impact on the local community. Through their collective actions, they emphasized the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.
The students of ICCS have taken a commendable step forward in their social initiative by donating essential items such as cereals, sugar, oil, and more. Their generosity and willingness to give back exemplify the values of empathy and altruism instilled within the ICCS student community. In a collaborative effort with the Aadar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative, ICCS organized a comprehensive Cleanliness Drive at the Lohegaon Forest area adjacent to the Pune International Airport. Students and volunteers joined hands to address environmental concerns and promote cleanliness in this vital ecosystem. The initiative aimed not only to beautify the surroundings but also to raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural habitats. Participants engaged in various activities such as garbage collection, tree planting, and awareness campaigns to instill a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation.
In a heartwarming gesture, ICCS has undertaken a compassionate initiative to support underprivileged school children enrolled at Tungaratan Vibhag Mandir in Gulsunde, Raigad. This noble endeavor reflects ICCS's commitment to making a positive impact beyond the confines of its campus. ICCS has opened me to my fullest potential making me eligible to avail the opportunities out there. Throughout my time here I have been obliged with various responsibilities and tasks which has moulded my personality and leadership skills. I have encountered many amazing personalities here. The teachers at ICCS embody the purposefulness and give priority to student's growth and I have been privileged enough to be under their guidance as they know how to brush a stone to a diamond.

I was part of Placement cell at Indira in 2008-09. Being in the placement cell was like having that job that prepares you for future job you want to go and get. It was that perfect bridge for me that could be a transition from a student into a responsible human being. Working in Placement Cell and talking about the big companies and different industries was so amazing because it was an eye-opening experience for me. Being a part of placement team, it was always a best learning experience as we used to have interaction with corporate representatives and came to know about the work culture thereat, briefly.
ICCS has done everything that can be important for a student to grow as an individual. ICCS have huge role in my entrepreneurial journey as I have gained so much practical knowledge and the core ethics from my college days. ICCS and its staff has helped me to build my foundation of entrepreneurship. Will always be grateful for everything that college has given to me.
Since childhood I have been passionate about technology. ICCS helped me to turn this hobby into a professional skill. The modern on-campus facilities such as free Wi-Fi, computer lab, library and gym offered me an ultimate environment for learning and relaxing. Even after 8 years of my graduation, I still have a very strong bond with the teachers and the friends I made at ICCS. I will be always grateful to the teachers and staff for their help and guidance. As a student in the Indira college, I gained both the skills and confidence to thoughtfully use a variety of quantitative approaches in my work. I had really amazing experience in Indira college of commerce and science. Faculties in each course were patient, understanding, supportive, motivating, friendly, and highly skilled. The event "𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨" was inaugurated by Principal-in-charge Dr. Janardan Pawar. The students took an effort to make the exhibition successful by giving the knowledge of art, culture, food, and destination information of several states to the exhibitors.

The cyber security awareness week was conducted in ICCS from 10th Oct to 14th Oct 2022. On this occasion various eminent speakers, Mr. Abhijeet Deshpande and Mr. Ashish Dhone delivered expert talks on “Real Time Hacking” and “Journey to Bug Bounty” respectively. The various events like Quiz Competition, PPT Presentation Competition, Innovative Idea Competition and Movie Show were organized for students. Students from various colleges participated in these events. Winners were felicitated with prizes and Certificates. The event was concluded by motivational speech of Chief Guest Mr. Ram Gomare (Assistant Police Inspector, Hinjewadi Police Station, Pune). He guided all the students how to take security steps, identify and avoid the cyber threats. This speech was followed by prize distribution to the winning students for various events during the cyber awareness week.

Innovate Indira's first edition was successfully hosted this year by the BBA and BCOM departments of the Indira College of Commerce and Science. This event was attended by a total of 36 students in 12 groups.
Numerous company proposals were presented in the categories of FinTech, Agriculture, Aggregator Apps, Natural Resources, and various others. The only people responsible for this event's success are the students who gave it their all and made a tremendous effort. Dr. Janardan Pawar, In-charge Principal, ICCS, Dr. Thomson Varghese, HOD, BBA, and Dr. Nalanda Wani, HOD, BCOM, were constantly supervising and mentoring students in the background.

ICCS observed the Commerce week as an annual affair of the Commerce Department. An educative week where various competitions and events are organized to help students attain skills which are relevant in today’s corporate world. The events were meticulously designed to provide the best platform for students to exhibit their skills as well as an opportunity to learn something new. Events namely Corporate challenge, Mock Stock, Moot Court, Quiz Competition, Research Paper Competition were held in the college classroom and auditorium. Business challenge gave students a glimpse of the corporate world and put one’s abilities and talents to test. Mock Stock provided a simulation of a stock market which taught students several trading skills. The Moot Court was a competition where students put their legal knowledge to use in solving cases. The Quiz Competition was organized with the objective of putting the students’ general knowledge to a test. The Research Paper Competition gave the students an opportunity to study the problems prevailing in our world today and provided a platform to share their opinions and suggestions on the same.
A soulful participation of over 300 students from B.Com, B.Com(Financial Markets), BBA, BBA-IB and BBA-CA was seen in the various events that were meant to provide platform to all students to learn, discover, research and create something new and innovative. The event concluded with a grand celebration and valedictory ceremony. Thanks to Dr. Janardan Pawar for his perpetual support and guidance and making this Commerce Week a success.

The 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐍) is an authentic and realistic replica of the United Nations that gives students a forum for discussion on critical world concerns that are currently relevant. This year, there were 120+ participants(delegates) out of which 7 were from UAE, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan and 30 were from 12 states other than Maharashtra. The event ended on a high note.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤, 𝐂𝐓𝐎 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 conducted a Seminar on the topic "𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐑" for our students which received an overwhelming response. He guided them on what key factors to possess for being corporate ready and also discussed some valuable life lessons. A metamorphic experience for all students.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was a huge success with 68 teams participating and debating with enthusiasm and thoughtful ideas. The judges had a tough time deciding the winners. Dy. Commissioner of Income Tax Dept , Ms Kranti Khobragade graced the occasion as Chief Guest for the Inaugural Ceremony and Executive Editor of Sakal newspaper Ms. Shital Pawar marked her presence as Chief Guest for Valedictory Ceremony. Smt Sarita Wakalkar (Mummyji), Trustee members of SCES and Directors from IGI also graced the occasion with their valuable presence. The winners trophy was bagged by Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce.

In line with the motto of नभः स्पृशं दीप्तम्, the Indian Air Force has shown exceptional dexterity for decades. They have secured the nation and also shown remarkable human spirit during disasters. Our Air Forces have literally TOUCHed the Sky with GLORY by serving the nation.
An interesting and informative session on “Future Opportunities in Indian Air Force” was conducted by the IAF members for students of ICCS.
Also the students got to experience the flight simulator where they got real life experience. Students were highly motivated and happy after the fruitful interaction with IAF members.
