Education is The Manifestation of The Perfection Already in Man – Swami Vivekananda
I extend a hearty welcome from the department of Commerce.
The Department of Commerce was started in the year 2001-2002 with the degree course in commerce. Now the department is offering B.Com, B.Com in Financial markets (Proposed), M.Com, Post graduate Diploma and Ph. D. in Commerce. The department is ranked 73rd in top 145 top colleges of India by the Times group.
As we are moving towards the economic development, the demand for commerce graduates is increasing day by day. Here, at Indira College of Commerce and Science, we strive hard to groom the young minds with education in its real sense as Swamiji once said, “Education is The Manifestation of the Perfection Already in Man”; we train and educate the aspirants to manifest their skills and abilities to be employment ready as well as to come up as innovative entrepreneurs. We strive to inculcate the social values along with the formal education to make our students socially responsible citizens. India is galloping in terms of the parameter of Ease of Doing Business; in the year 2013 it was 150th , in the year 2019 we raised to 64th and expected to be 42nd in the global ranking. In such situation we expect more job opportunities for commerce students.
Another feature of the department is that attempts are always made to inculcate the research culture among the students which helps them to climb high in their career path. Faculties are meticulous in shaping the versatile personality of the students with updated knowledge and teaching them the application of the same acquired knowledge and skills.
Well qualified, experienced, competent faculty dedicated to developing new strategic direction for the department is the strength of the department. Commitment to values such as student success, academic excellence, research orientation, community engagement, diversity and moral values are the core features of the department.
We assure your ward becoming a responsible citizen with skills to face challenges of life.
