Department of Physical Education and Sports

The primary objective of the Department is to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to develop and maintain physical fitness throughout their life. The department encourages students to participate in intercollegiate Sports competitions, including team sports like Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Handball, and hockey, and individual sports like table tennis, Chess, badminton, and track and field. These opportunities allow students to further enhance their athletic abilities, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and foster a sense of solidarity and institute spirit. The department also focuses on educating students about the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being. Overall, the Department of Physical Education in a college plays a vital role in fostering physical fitness, promoting healthy habits, and instilling values of sportsmanship and teamwork among students.
