With this objective a seminar was conducted to create awareness among girl students about their safety and security while dealing with society. She explained various legal norms of Indian Penal Code, 1860 for various offences, their provision and measures. She also discussed major cases, happened in India, like Mathura’s Case, Bhanwari Devi case, Aruna Shawnbaug’s case, Kharlangi case, Shakti mills case, Kathua case which made amendments in the Law for Women’s security. She explained need of statutory bodies at workplace like ICC, LCC, Anti-Ragging Committee and women grievance cell. She also elaborated precautionary measures to be taken by every women to avoid such consequences. Seminar was very informative and was well appreciated by all the participants.
Indira College of commerce and science has entered into a collaboration with Synergy University, Moscow, Russia & Cox & Kings Financial Service Ltd for summer school program. On behalf of Cox & Kings Financial Service Ltd Mr. Nitesh Varkhede, Regional Head – West was instrumental in establishing a direct collaboration between Indira College of Commerce & Science, Pune and Synergy University, Moscow, Russia. As a part of tie up with Synergy University, Moscow, Russia, Indira College of Commerce and Science, Pune, Maharashtra, India, sent a team of 15 students and 2 faculty members to visit Synergy University, Moscow, Russia for a Summer School Camp to complete a Certification Course of 8 days from 14th June, 2019 to 21st June, 2019.
Certification Course covered the topics like Business with Russia: A Review, Experience Time and Wonder in Russia, Stock Exchange Market in Russia and Innovative Businesses in Russia. Students got the opportunity to visit Industries in Russia like Coca-Cola and Kiwi Bank in Moscow
This Program was planned for giving students exposure about the recent trends in Business Management. This camp has provided new avenues for students to develop innovative ideas regarding global issues and to understand different cultures.
This Collaboration between the two institutions will generate new possibilities for equipping students with latest and upcoming educational practices and better employment capabilities
Indira College of Commerce & Science (ICCS), Pune ranked 13th position all over India in Times BBA Education: Ranking Survey 2019. The objective of this survey was to arrive at a list of top BBA Colleges offering full time BBA courses in India. From the last 4 years ICCS is securing the spot among top BBA Colleges in India.
International yoga celebrated on the Indira College of Commerce and Science, Tathwade, Pune on International Yoga Day i.e. 21st June 2019. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day. The Orientation lecture and Practical Session is done under the guidance of Resource person “Mr. Shivshankar Renkutvar”
The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning “to yoke or join together.” Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation. 80 students and 10 staff members have participated in the program.

In this session Dr. Sanjay Kaptan have introduced different career opportunities, procedure to appear those careers, different competitive exams and also planned to make them to understand the importance of having goal and passion to achieve the desired goal. The session was very interactive; students were very attentive and asked questions and clarified the doubts. He has covered many career options which all Arts, Science and Commerce can appear and also the separate courses for each stream.
Indira College of Commerce and Science in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Pune, an autonomous Body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has arranged the live telecast of “Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Speech” at the Valedictory ceremony of National Youth Parliament Festival 27th February 2019 at 10:00 am, sharp at ICCS Campus.
The students are fortunate enough to view the direct telecast of the same.

The Graduation Ceremony of Shree Chanakya Education Society’s Indira College of Commerce and Science, Indira College of Engineering and Indira College of Pharmacy was held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Dhruv Auditorium, ICCS, Wakad, Pune. The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Mr.Ramchandra Honap, HR Head, Force Motors. The function was marked by the presence of Dr.Tarita Shankar, Chairperson IGI, Prof Chetan Wakalkar, Group Director IGI, Directors of the institutes and Principals of the three colleges.
The ceremony started with academic procession walking into the auditorium, with the band playing in the background. The procession in march included the CEO, College toppers, NSS P.O., SWO,Sports Director, Chairperson, Group Director, Principals, Vice Principals and HOD’s. It was followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr Anagha Joshi, Principal,ICP welcomed the gathering. Dr.Sunil Admuthe, Principal ICEM also wished the students in their future endeavors.
The Chief Guest Mr.Honap in his convocation address focused on the importance of being a committed, socially responsible human being and professional. Dr.Tarita Shankar and Prof Chetan Walkalkar shared motivating words of wisdom with the passed out graduates. The penultimate vote of thanks by Dr.Janardan Pawar, Principal ICCS was followed by the distribution of awards and degrees to the graduates. The function ended successfully with the National Anthem.
