The city of Pune is going to witness a college fest, which the city has never witnessed before on 17th, 18th & 19th February 2016. As it is going to be a showdown time at Indira Informatics Technothelon (Tech – Savvy 2016) the official fest of Indira College of Commerce and Science.
The central theme of this 4th edition of i-IT fest is – ‘THE GAME CHANGERS!! ’ ; wherein the fest pays a tribute to all those people & professionals who have redefined the know-how of the way things are done & executed in their various fields and have managed to create a legacy.
In order to pay this tribune, the event organizers have managed to get 2400+ participants which not only involves only students but also people across all age & profession from pan India.
Striving to take it to a new level i-IT has involved the upcoming young artists to increase the glamour quotient on the platform. Calling in the Femina Miss India finalist & Miss Pune Meghna Mittal along with the most enthusiastic and thrilling little dancer from the reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ – Ruturaj Mahalim, and lastly someone to get everybody tapping to the tunes DJ Angel Johal – one of the top five Female DJ’s in India. Yet this did not seem enough so there is a final blow to the stage, a group of 50 dancers who tap to the same beat at the very same second, who hold the title of one of the Winners for the World Hip Hop Championship are now going to perform at i-IT fest.

4th National Conference And 2nd Student Conference held in ICCS, Chief Guest Hon’ble Balasaheb Darade Ex- NASA (America) Scientist & Expert member of Govt of Maharashtra, Dr. Shivanand Gornale, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Rani Chenamma University, Belgavi, Karnataka, Prof. Ajay Gotkhindikar, Researcher and Embedded Security Specialist enlighten Students, Researchers, Teachers and Participants at this occasion. Two Day Workshop on “Computer: Under the Hood” by Dr. Vijay Gokhale
Indira College of Commerce and Science had organized two days’ workshop on “Computer: Under the Hood”on 9th and 10th January 2016 for M.Sc (CS), MCA (Sci), B.Sc (CS) and BCA students. This workshop was conducted by Dr. Vijay D. Gokhale who is computer entrepreneur. He is technical director four IT companies. In this workshop he covered topics such as software development kit, Windows technologies, Linux technologies etc.
Gusto X-plosion, a blast from the past, the 10th edition of our intercollegiate, multi cultural fest is riding fast on the back of our winged Pegasus. Let’s embrace the mega event with our fingers crossed for a mega dose of thrill & excitement only at Indira College of Commerce & Science on 11, 12 & 13th of February 2016.
Date: 23rd – 24th December, 2015 Venue: Adventure Plus, Bhor No of Students: Total – 58 (M.Sc(CS) – 41, MCA(sci) – 17 ) Activities: Rappelling, Rock Climbing, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Rope Walk etc.
The students reported in the college at 8.00 am. After reaching Adventure plus students were divided into 4 groups and they were supervised by faculties. Various activities like rope walk, rifle shooting, archery, rock climbing, rappelling, cycling etc were carried out till 1.00pm. Post Lunch they had water activities and in the evening Campfire was organized.

Dr. Sanjay Upadhye, was the chief guest for the Debate & Elocution Competition. Competition was inaugurated by hands of Dr. Sanjay Upadhye, Dr. Tarita Shankar and Prof. Chetan Wakalkar, Group Director, IGI
The judges for the competition were Prof. Deepak Mathapati, Prof. Deelip Chavan, Prof. Thigale and Dr. Sujata Bamane. In all 70 college teams had participated this year for the competition.

Indira College of commerce and science has completed successful glorious 9 years of NSS unit which was formed with a motto “Not me but you” in year 2007-08. NSS helps students to enhance their skills and creays opportunity to think and work for the society. And now this is second year, where continuously NSS camp of Indira College of Commerce and Science was organized from 22nd December 2015 to 28th December 2015 at Kondivade village (Andar-Maval) Pune, 36 Kms from college. This village is adopted by SPPU after 1st camp held by this college to make it as a smart village. NSS Program officer of college Prof. Avinash Shingte and Prof. Prashant Dhake with 25 NSS Volunteers.
NSS Program officer Prof. Avinash Shingte and College Principal Dr. Anjali Kalkar have designed the format for 7 day schedule of the residential camp activity. Dr. Janardan Pawar (Vice principal- Indira college) have inaugurated camp in presence of Mrs. Sau. Sharada Kadu (Sarpanch-Kondivade), Mr. Bhagwan Shinde (Deputy Sarpanch-Kondivade), Mr. Mallikarjun Kambale (Principal-ZP School, Kondivade) and villagers of the Kondivade.
Dr. Vasudev Gade (Vice Chancellor of SPPU) and Dr. Sanjaykumar Dalavi (NSS Program Coordinator & Student Welfare office-SPPU) have visited the camp and conveyed their thoughts about the mission of smart village through NSS campaign and concluded sendoff function.
The various activities are conducted during the camp which includes- various guest lectures conducted on topic like “Snakes-Superstitions” by Prof. Hemant Dhamake, “Gandhiyan thoughts and today’s youth” by Prof. Nandkumar Shinde, “Save girl child and important of education”’ by Dr. Anjali kalkar, micro planning of the village and social mapping under the guidance of Dr. Chandrashekhar pawar. Also, 55 fruit-plants were donated to villagers, Cleaning drive, Counseling on health issues, improve Sanitation management system, Street Play, Plastic less movement, screening message oriented Art movie, pet animal check-up and vaccination camp where 64 animals of the village are undergone through the process of vaccination with the help of NSS volunteers.
NSS unit benefits the common students to improve their capabilities and uplift their skills being socially responsible.
